Thanks to funding support from MDA, the Social History Curators Group is able to commission some freelance research and development work for its firstBASE database.
The SHCG committee recently responded to the article 'A Sense of Place' by Scott Billings in February's edition of the Museums Journal.
SHCG will be launching its 'Object Lessons' scheme on 24th June 2008.
At the SHCG AGM, held at this year’s conference, on 12 July in London, several new members were elected to the SHCG committee.
Members will receive an additional insert with the new copy of SHCG News. The insert is a ballot to approve an amendment to the wording of the Constitution.
