SHCG Committee Needs You!
SHCG is looking for 5 Ordinary Trustees
Fantastic CPD opportunities await!
What some previous committee members have said...
“Ultimately it led to my current job, looking after social history collections”
“It has given me new skills and networking opportunities”
“It gave me increased confidence in organising events”
Are you an early or mid-career professional working in a museum or heritage site. Are you looking to enhance your skills or find new opportunities to do something different? You may be who we are looking for.
Please find below this year’s nomination form. You can nominate yourself this year, so all you need to do is find a Proposer. Your Proposer can be your line manager, a colleague, a current member of the Board of Trustees, your AMA Mentor or another suitably competent museum professional. All nominees must be an individual or institutional member of SHCG. If you are not already a member, it is really easy to become a member and submit your nomination. Please see the membership page.
All SHCG members are eligible for election, except Trustees who have already served three consecutive terms. You do not need to be present at AGM to stand. Ordinary Trustees serve two years and can have various roles which are assigned at the first meeting after AGM. To find out more about the roles on committee, descriptions can be found on our website
As in previous years we will run elections by secret ballot, first past the post (Chair has the deciding vote). Please e-mail a signed PDF copy of this nomination form to Verity Smith, SHCG Secretary by 17:00 on Friday 2 June.
Nominations will be accepted on the day at AGM only if the candidate and their Proposer are present at AGM. Please give the signed form to any Trustee at AGM by 13:00 on Thursday 29 June 2017.
Live adventurously and expand your networks as a member of SHCG Board of Trustees! You won’t regret it!
Good luck.Download SHCG_2017_Nomination_Form.docx...
